Lift Tickets
Due to a change in corporate policy, Sun Peaks Resort Corporation, the host resort is no longer able to provide free lift tickets to FIS World Cup racers attending the 2011 Subaru Velocity Challenge. All racers/coaches/trainers/techs will receive a 40% discount on lift tickets for the 2011 Subaru Velocity Challenge & FIS World Cup. We apologize for this unexpected added cost for racers coming to the Sun Peaks World Cup but this is a decision beyond our control.
4 day lift passes can be purchased at Race Registration or Sun Peaks Resort Guest Services by showing your Race Accreditation- Price with all taxes in is $185.47 Cdn
Foot passenger tickets ( Non- Skiers Only ) are available for those that do not ski for $12 Cdn. The Headwall Speed Track is serviced by the Sunburst Chair and the Sunburst Mid-Mountain Lodge
All racers must be registered online no later than March 1, 2010.
Official Race Hotel
Delta Sun Peaks Resort
The Delta Sun Peaks Resort is the “Official” Race Hotel of the 2011 Subaru Velocity Challenge and FIS Speed Ski World Cup. The Delta is a ski-in -ski-out 4 diamond hotel. The Race Office is in the Alpine Room of the Delta Hotel.
The Delta Hotel is proud to offer all racers, teams, coaches a special base room rate of $89 CDN per room-per night.
Room upgrades are available at additional cost
All race office and racer meetings will be held at the Delta Hotel ( Alpine Room) and a wax room will be provided.

Transportation
Flying
Flying to Sun Peaks is done either through Calgary, Alberta or Vancouver B.C. then onto Kamloops B.C. which is 45 minutes from Sun Peaks Resort. Both West Jet and Air Canada service the Kamloops Airport.Please be aware that small commuter aircraft have limited baggage room and may not be able to handle multiple sets of speed skis on the same flight. Check with your airline beforehand.
Driving
From Vancouver take Highway #1 (Trans-Canada) to Hope. This Highway turns into Highway #5 to Kamloops. At Kamloops take the Jasper Exit (Highway #5 North) to Heffley Creek. Follow the Sun Peaks Resort signs 31km to Sun Peaks Resort.
Airport Shuttle Service
Shuttle service from Kamloops Airport to Sun Peaks Resort. Sun Star Shuttle meets most flights into Kamloops but space must be reserved at least 24 hrs in advance to secure a spot on the shuttle.
