The 2013 Sun Peaks Resort FIS Speed Ski World Cup Presented by Zimmer Autogroup is set to go for Feb. 28 to March 3 at Sun Peaks Resort, B.C. Canada.

Event: the 2013 Sun Peaks Resort FIS Speed Ski World Cup

Rules: This event is governed by FIS World Cup Speed Skiing
Enrollment: This event is open to all carded FIS Speed Ski Athletes.
All FIS carded athletes must pre-register prior to February 26th, 2013.
FIS World Cup Entry : While there is no mandatory entry fee for racers to race WC at Sun Peaks, all racers must become members of the Sun Peaks Speed Skiing Club (SPSSC) if they wish to get the Sun Peaks race perks.
Membership to the SPSSC is only $40 CDN per racer and this includes lunch on-hill each day and the awards banquet dinner/party on Sunday night after the races. Racers will also get 50% off coupons for dinners at several Sun Peaks restaurants for Thurs, Fri and Sat nights.
The Velocity Challenge Pro Race is based on the fastest speeds attained during the 4 day speed ski event. This is an “optional” race for all FIS racers. Entry fee is $100 CDN and all Velocity entry fees go towards prize money.
Lift Passes:
The Sun Peaks Speed Skiing Club (SPSSC) will provide free lift passes to the following athletes based on the 2012/2013 FIS Points list. If racer lift pass quotas in each category below are not met off the 2012/2013 FIS Points list then the SPSSC will then refer to the 2011/2012 FIS Points list to fill lift pass quotas of those racer in attendance. If quotas in each category are not filled, lift passes will not be transferred to other racer categories. One coach per National team will also receive a four day lift pass at no charge.
